Botaniq Blooms - Cream Ridge, NJ

Featuring farm-fresh, seasonal blooms grown on their sister farm, Spring Wind Farm, this full-service floral design company specializes in weddings, showers and events in Philadelphia, Eastern Pennsylvania, and New Jersey. This business is a story of two friends, a horticulturist and a scientist with a degree in biochemistry, who met on an organic farm and reunited years later in flower love. Botaniq Blooms plays with natural patterns and textures and uses fun, vivid colors to create one-of-a-kind show-stopping arrangements.

TJ McGrath Design - Plainfield, NJ

What does it mean to me to be a sustainable florist? It means that I have chosen cut flowers as my artistic medium and that I am ever mindful of my actions with them and the imprint/impact my art may have on the environment. I work primarily with flowers that are available to me both locally and seasonally and I refrain from using imported flowers whenever possible; almost to my own detriment from a business perspective. I only use, teach and advocate for design practices and tools that are reusable, recyclable or compostable. My commitment to these basic principals has forced me to do more with less, make less feel like more and in my opinion, have made me a better floral designer artistically.

Wildly Florals - South Orange, NJ

Wildly is a floral design studio in South Orange, NJ with a strong commitment to featuring locally grown flowers and sustainable practices. We design florals that evoke the movement of Nature while celebrating its immense beauty. Out of respect for the future of humanity and the beautiful planet we are all living on, Wildly Floral Co. uses sustainable practices in our designs. We compost green waste and source the great majority of our flowers from local flower farms to reduce our carbon footprint. We forego floral foam and instead utilize chicken wire, moss and pin frogs to provide structure and keep florals hydrated, even in our large scale installations. We buy back vases and reuse all containers we can. And we use recycled and/or recyclable paper products for our packaging and shipping materials. Our inspiration is derived from the movement and beauty of the natural world. Nature’s immense beauty has the power to evoke emotion in all humans and make us feel connected to each other and to the living world around us. At Wildly we use the medium of flowers, foliages and other natural materials to highlight Nature’s beauty and connect people.
